Alex Triantaphyllis is a Partner at Marka. Alex has significant experience in financial and legal matters for companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He previously worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions advisory and raising capital through public debt and equity markets for clients in the firm’s Global Natural Resources group. Alex has also worked in management consulting at McKinsey & Co., where he helped a client design a plan for significant revenue growth in a new business line, and at the law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in Silicon Valley, where he worked with startup companies and funds in the venture capital sector. He also founded PAIR: Partnership for the Advancement & Immersion of Refugees, a nonprofit organization in Houston, Texas. Alex graduated from Harvard Law School, where he was the Business & Bluebook Chair of the Harvard Law Review. He has completed coursework for a Masters in Economics from the Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina and graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in political science and Hispanic studies.
Quang Nguyen is a Partner at Marka. Quang has significant experience in financial services and developing strategies for small businesses, major corporations, governments, and non-governmental organizations. He previously worked for Capital One Financial Services, specializing in predictive analytics for the company’s credit card portfolio. In this role he segmented the pool of available customers for marketing, created decision frameworks for acquiring credit card customers, designed credit products, and developed line management decisions for the largest credit card portfolio in the company. Quang also worked for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Jamaica, assisting the government of Jamaica to achieve their targets in reducing the burden of HIV in the country by addressing key issues such as sustainable health financing, increasing adherence to medication, reducing drug prices, and improving access to essential services. He has significant experience in data science and biomechanics research. Quang graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Rajen Mahagaokar is a Partner at Marka. Rajen has significant financial and investment experience across a variety of sectors and deal sizes. Previously, Rajen worked at Silver Lake Kraftwerk, a growth-equity firm investing in energy and resource companies globally, as one of the fund’s first employees. Before Silver Lake, Rajen worked at Goldman Sachs in the firm’s Urban Investment Group, which invests in mixed-income/mixed-use housing projects, charter schools, and community development financial institutions. Rajen previously worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions advisory and raising capital through public debt and equity markets for clients in the firm’s Global Natural Resources group. He is a co-founder and board member of PAIR: Partnership for the Advancement & Immersion of Refugees. Rajen graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in mathematical economic analysis.
